. Despite the fact that I live on a Choptank tributary my fly
fishing has been limited to trout. I need cold water. I do plan on trying steelhead and LL salmon in the near future. I fly fished quite a bit in the Sierras
from age 13-18(one rod a fiberglass 8' 6wt). College and the pursuit of more urban interests put an end to my fishing until I got married at 32. I was
living in San Francisco then so I hung out at the casting pools in GG park and started fishing again in Northern California. Now 47, my interest in fly fishing
has gone way up the last 4 to 5 years. For 12 years I had just two rods, an 8' 6wt and a 7'6" 4wt (both Superfines). I then switched to Winston
and in 2007 simply sold everything (almost, my sons need rods) and switched to bamboo. I have A LOT to learn about both
fly fishing and bamboo, but I don't mind hazarding a cautious opinion (I might learn from its being corrected ).
